A very interesting list; I'm familiar with just about all of these...it's fun to think how far we've come.
It's been a year since we lost our mother.
Today, my thoughts dwell on her life and her accomplishments, and a bit on our loss.
I miss her. It's still hard to believe she's gone.
[I]nstead of allowing Republicans to fully participate in deliberations, as promised after the Democratic victory in the Nov. 7 midterm elections, Democrats now say they will use House rules to prevent the opposition from offering alternative measures, assuring speedy passage of the bills and allowing their party to trumpet early victories.
Mrs. Agnostic and I had a very nice New Years Eve; we stayed home and played games and enjoyed each others company all day long, which is the way we like it.
Today, we took the last of the Christmas decorations down and stowed them away until next time, and I dragged the tree outside for the men to take away later this week, which I always feel is a sad ending for a festive friend who has outstayed his welcome.
But, time marches on, which is a nice seque to the following: while rescuing our belongings from the recent flood, I found a packet of photos from a prevous job..
The picture below speaks of an earlier, simpler time when we weren't worried about terrorists (though we should have been), and our worst anxieties were entirely imaginary.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my hair the most.
